AeroKontiki is New Zealand’s leading drone fishing system, purpose-built to transform traditional kontiki and longline fishing into a more advanced, controlled, and efficient method. Designed from the ground up, every AeroKontiki drone is engineered to perform in demanding coastal environments, giving everyday fishers and professionals the ability to cast further offshore, haul heavier lines, and fish with greater accuracy. Unlike hobby drones, AeroKontiki systems are built specifically for fishing, combining powerful hauling capability, intuitive flight control, GPS-assisted auto return, and rugged stability into a single, purpose-driven platform.

Born from real fishing needs and built using precision engineering, AeroKontiki delivers a reliable, high-performance fishing experience across a wide range of conditions. Whether targeting snapper along the west coast or deploying longline rigs offshore, AeroKontiki systems give anglers confidence through intelligent control, predictable performance, and repeatable results. Designed, engineered, and tested in New Zealand, AeroKontiki proudly supports the fishing community with advanced tools that enable smarter decision-making, safer operation, and consistently rewarding fishing outcomes.

  • Operate during daylight hours and within your visual line of sight.

  • Avoid manned aircraft, people, and private property.

  • Stay outside restricted airspace and at least 4 km from any airport or aerodrome.

  • Always launch from a beach or open area, directly out to sea.

  • To fly in controlled airspace, register with AirShare to obtain permission.

  • Use AirShare maps to explore permitted coastal fishing spots.
